Did you know your child doesn’t actually need all of the calming strategies and spaces to learn to regulate?
As a pediatric occupational therapist, I am keenly aware of how often we are utilizing calming spaces to solve our child's behavioral issues. In fact, it was a big part of my role as an outpatient provider.
While I don't think there is anything wrong with calming spaces and strategies, after all they are needed sometimes, I do think there is one major thing that we are missing.
